The ABC’S of Salvation

Knowing your sins are forgiven and that you are ready for heaven

is as simple as following these steps:

A. Admit you have sinned.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.”

1 John 1:8

B. Believe in the Savior.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,

that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16

C. Confess and forsake your sin.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us

and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 1:9

Prayer and Missions

"The missionary church is a praying church. The history of missions is a history of prayer. Everything vital to the success of the world's evangelization hinges on prayer. Are thousands of missionaries and tens of thousands of native workers needed? ‘Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He send forth laborers into His harvest.’" – John R. Mott

"The evangelization of the world in this generation depends first of all upon a revival of prayer. Deeper than the need for men; deeper, far, than the need for money; aye, deep down at the bottom of our spiritless life is the need for the forgotten secret of prevailing, world-wide prayer."

 – Robert E. Speer

"I have said that there is nothing in the world or the Church, except it’s disobedience, to render the evangelization of the world in this generation an impossibility…" – Robert E. Speer

"If added power attends the united prayer of two or three, what mighty triumphs there will be when hundreds of thousands of consistent members of the Church are with one accord day by day making intercession for the extension of Christ's Kingdom." – John R. Mott

What is Faith?

1) Faith is absolute trust in God.

(God said it, I believe it and I choose to walk in it)

Luke 6:46

2) Faith is a total commitment to God.

Matthew 10:38

3) Faith is death to self.

Matthew 16:24

Faith sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.

Believe, Submit, Receive

And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.

Matthew 13:58

Thoughts on prayer

"Depend upon it, if you are bent on prayer, the devil will not leave you alone.

He will molest you, tantalize you, block you, and surely find some hindrances,

big or small or both.  And we sometimes fail because we are ignorant of his device.

I do not think he minds our praying about things if we leave it at that.

What he minds, and opposes steadily, is the prayer that prays on until it is

prayed through, assured of the answer."
- Mary Warburton Booth
